ART. FOOD. ADVENTURE.

As we emerge from COVID’s limitations, I hope this post finds everyone well and craving some adventure. To celebrate and embrace exploring, socializing, and enriching our senses …. Art and About: Destination Art Tours, will curate art and dining experiences for small groups. I will be procuring a limited number of tickets to exhibitions, art fairs, and cultural events to be paired with culinary experiences and enjoyed together the day of the tour. I am always on a quest for learning, so I will not be the tour leader but rather turn to more knowledgeable professionals from the art world for their expertise. The tours will be informative but light and fun— just to give some background and perspective tailored for each experience.

Tickets will be first come first serve and cover the art event with a tour guide, and meal (lunch, brunch, picnic, or other dining experience). Transportation is not included as there will be people coming from different places. I plan to have about 8-10 experiences per year.

Stay tuned for the announcement of our first tour (location and art experience) tomorrow Saturday 9/18. If the demand way exceeds the supply, I will try to arrange a second/duplicate experience when it is possible. I want to keep each art group small so it feels intimate and is easy to arrange meals and logistics. I’ll be working with museums, galleries, art sculpture parks, private collections, art fairs, and unique cultural centers or places where access is limited, to bring the best opportunities to you.

My background dates way back, having worked for the Whitney Museum during college (more of a fun fact) and in Connecticut, I was on the Board and Executive Board of the Westport Arts Center (now MOCA) for many years where I furthered my passion and interest in art. Through “Art and About” I will provide access to art experiences, use my connections to get the hard to get tickets, and coordinate logistics. My passion for restaurants and delicious food will be the “icing on the cake”!
