Inspired by the New York Post…

I love lists:

I love making lists and reading lists others make.
I keep lists in the notes section of my phone as an endless resource.
(From restaurants in major cities, Netflix shows to binge, best abs exercises, to emerging designers + brands on the trend radar to latest books…)

If you haven’t checked out my Love Affair Style Story post, which includes the “what to do in LA” list, (it’s updated regularly!), it’s a must read and was one of my favorites to write. I’m also pretty confident (bossy) with my best movies of all time list (Good Will Hunting, Walk the Line and The Hangover are my top 3, and if you would like to know the balance of my top 10, I am happy to discuss this offline). The most fun list I’ve come across recently was published by the New York Post, written by Allie Sadlier. After polling 2,000 adults about “what their most iconic fashion items of all time” are, the results were equal parts shocking, expected, and somewhat nostalgic. The items on the list made me smile, reminisce on my past, and ultimately compelled me to make a list of some items I felt were mistakenly left off (or at least deserve consideration).

I would LOVE to hear from you if there are any others you would like to add!

Here’s my list:

  • Speedos (oy!)

  • Le sports sac bags

  • Capezios (sadly!)

  • Keds

  • Fiorucci

  • Golden Goose sneakers

  • Gucci sneakers

  • Graphic tees as fashion/for women

  • Izod polo shirts

  • Benetton

  • Hermès scarves, belts, and Birkin bags

  • Frye boots

  • Burberry plaid

  • Skinny jeans

  • YSL platform shoes (tribute and now Bianca)
